Determination of concentration and mass flow of particulate matter in flue gas for stationary source emissions
MS 1596:2003 (CONFIRMED:2013)
Status : 1st Confirmation
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies a manual gravimetric method for the measurement of the concentration and mass flow rate of particulate matter in a moving gas stream in confined spaces such as ducts, ....Read more chimneys and flues. This method can be used to determine concentrations ranging from 0.005 g/m3 to 10 g/m3. For concentrations under 0.050 g/m3, the inaccuracy of this method will be greater than ± 10 %.

It is primarily a reference method for the determination of particulate matter emitted from stationary sources, it can also be used for calibrating automatic continuous particulate. The method should be applied as much as possible under steady state conditions of the gas flow in the duct. It is not suitable for use on ventilation or air conditioning systems, indoor atmospheres, or gases carrying droplets.

This Malaysian Standard also sets out requirements for the design features of apparatus which can be used for the determinations if correctly used and indicates basic requirements fo

Standard test method for environmental stress crack resistance of plastics injection moulded open head pails (First revision)
MS 1593:2014
Status : 1st Revision
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard provides procedures for an indication of the environmental stress crack resistance of plastics injection moulded open head pails, covers, and components as a summation of the e ....Read more ffects of container design, resin, manufacturing conditions, field performance, and other factors.

This Malaysian Standard also covers molded polyethylene, open head, self-supporting, nonreusable pails intended for the packaging and transportation of nonhazardous goods. Pails are to have volume capacities between 1 and 7 gal (3.8L to 26.5L).

Two procedures are provided as follows:

This Malaysian Standard may be used to evaluate a container's resistance to mechanical failure by cracking when in the presence of chemical and physical stresses.

a) Procedure A, Specified stress-crack resistance test method

This procedure is particularly useful for quality control since the conditions of the test are specified.

b) Procedure B, User selected stress-crack resistance test method
