This standard provides information for ductile iron fittings complying with MS 1919 connecting to the pillar hydrants and typical detailed connections for pillar hydrant systems. 

This standard also provides for the evaluation of conformity of the pillar fire hydrants requirements and applies to fire hydrants for potable and non potable water and for filtered water. Additional requirements may apply for other liquids. 

Couplings connected to outlets should conform to the fire brigade requirements. Close
