FERROUS PRODUCTS - HEAT TREATMENTS - VOCABULARY (ISO 4885:1996, MOD)
MS 2053:2007
Status : Original
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard defines the terms used in the heat treatment of ferrous products.
The vocabulary is divided into a main part (Clause 3) and a complementary section (Clause 4).
< ....Read more br /> The main part gives an alphabetical list of the terms with their definitions and, where appropriate, comments. A definition of a foreign term for which the language in question has no equivalent is given at the end of the main part. The complementary section comprises the definitions of terms necessary to understand the main part.

The comments are given in note form in order to differentiate them from the definitions. Any
term defined in the main part of this International Standard and used elsewhere in a definition or a comment is printed in bolder type than the main text.

Figures 1 and 2 show graphical representations of certain terms.

TEST METHOD FOR RESIDUAL VINYL CHLORIDE MONOMER IN POLY (VINYL CHLORIDE) RESINS BY GAS CHROMATOGRAPHIC HEADSPACE TECHNIQUE
MS 2049:2007
Status : Withdrawn
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard is suitable for determining the residual vinyl chloride monomer (RVCM) content of poly(vinylchloride) (PVC) homopolymer and copolymer resins for uses other than food contact. T ....Read more he range for this test, based on interlaboratory evaluation, is from 0.1 to 400 ppm RVCM.
This test method can be adapted to determinations of RVCM in a PVC copolymer resin if the Henry's Law constant at 90°C for that copolymer is known.

This test method cannot be used for polymer in fused forms, such as cubes or sheets. Refer to Test Method D 4443 or Test Method D 3680 for these materials.

This test method is proposed as an alternative to EPA Method 107 for determination of vinyl chloride monomers in dry-resin samples.

1.5 The values stated SI units are to be regarded as the standard.

Road vehicles - Brake linings frictions materials - Visual inspection
MS 2046:2008 (CONFIRMED:2013)
Status : 1st Confirmation
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard defines visual aspect for the identification and assessment of such product characteristics in quality assurance, as well as a basis for commercial and technical agreements. Fr ....Read more iction linings are composite materials with complex structure. Due to their composition and their production process, visual appearance characteristics can occur which in a precisely defined design are to be regarded as specific to the product. The sequence of the product characteristics represents no order of priority. The brake linings are inspected in the “as supplied” condition, meaning unused. In some characteristic features, there are differences between brake linings with an effective lining pad surface 120 cm2 and ? 120 cm2. The acceptance criteria within this standard does not allow any characteristics which could impair the function and performance of brake linings and are applied unless there are other agreements between the customer and the supplier. STANDARD PRACTICE FOR CALCULATION OF CERTAIN PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM (LP) GASES FROM COMPOSITIONAL ANALYSIS
MS 2044:2007
Status : Withdrawn
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard covers by compositional analysis, the approximate determination of the following physical characteristics of commercial propane and special-duty propane, vapour pressure, relat ....Read more ive density and motor octane number (MON).
This practice is not applicable to any product exceeding specifications for nonvolatile residues. (See Test Method D 2158.)

For calculating motor octane number, this practice is applicable only to mixtures containing 20 % or less of propene.

For calculated motor octane number in method, this practice is based on mixtures containing only components shown in Table 1.

The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard.
