Iron ores - Experimental methods for the evaluation of quality variation (First revision) (ISO 3084:1998, IDT)
MS ISO 3084:2002 (CONFIRMED:2013)
Status : 1st Confirmation
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies experimental methods for the evaluation of quality variation of iron ores for each type of iron ore being traded and for each handling plant.

Two distin ....Read more ct approaches are specified. The first is to analyse interleaved samples composed of a number of paired increments taken and combined alternately following stratified sampling or systematic sampling as specified in ISO 3082. The second is to collect and analyse individual increments and then to analyse the data using variographic methods.

Using interleaved samples involves less work, but use of variograms provides a better estimate of quality variation and hence a better estimate of the sampling variance. The variogram method is usually used to fine tune a sampling operation.

NOTE The experimental methods may be applied approximately to time basis sampling when the flowrate is almost uniform.

IRON ORES - SAMPLING AND SAMPLE PREPARATION PROCEDURES (FIRST REVISION) (ISO 3082:2009, IDT)
MS ISO 3082:2010
Status : 1st Revision
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard gives
a) the underlying theory,
b) the basic principles for sampling and preparation of samples, and
c) the basic requirements for the design, installation ....Read more and operation of sampling systems

for mechanical sampling, manual sampling and preparation of samples taken from a lot under transfer, to determine the chemical composition, moisture content, size distribution and other physical and metallurgical properties of the lot, except bulk density obtained using ISO 3852:2007 (Method 2).

The methods specified in this Malaysian Standard are applicable to both the loading and discharging of a lot by means of belt conveyors and other ore-handling equipment to which a mechanical sampler may be installed or where manual sampling may safely be conducted.

The methods are applicable to all iron ores, whether natural or processed (e.g. concentrates and
agglomerates, such as pellets or sinters).

Hydraulic fluid power filter elements - Verification of fabrication integrity and determination of the first bubble point (ISO 2942:2004, IDT)
MS ISO 2942:2005 (CONFIRMED:2016)
Status : 1st Confirmation
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies a bubble-point test method applicable to filter elements used in hydraulic fluid power systems. It can be used either to verify the fabrication integrity of a filter ....Read more element (by checking the absence of bubbles) or to permit the localization of the largest pore of the filter element by determining the first bubble point.

Verification of fabrication integrity defines the acceptability of the filter elements for further use or testing.

The first bubble point is established through continuation of the fabrication integrity test. It is under no circumstances a functional characteristic of a filter element; in particular, it cannot be used for extrapolation to the concepts of filtration rating, efficiency or retention capacity and should be used for information only.

RUBBER HOSES AND HOSE ASSEMBLIES FOR BULK FUEL DELIVERY BY TRUCK – SPECIFICATION (ISO 2929:2002, IDT)
MS ISO 2929:2007
Status : Withdrawn
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies the requirements for two groups of rubber hoses and rubber hose assemblies for loading and discharge of liquid hydrocarbon fuels with a maximum working pressure of 10 ....Read more bar (1,0 MPa).

Both groups of hoses are designed for:

a) use with hydrocarbon fuels having an aromatic-hydrocarbon content not exceeding 50 % by volume and containing up to 15 % of oxygenated compounds;

b) operation within the temperature range of ? 30 °C to + 70 °C, undamaged by climatic conditions of ? 50 °C to + 70 °C when stored in static conditions.

NOTE. Hoses for use at temperatures lower than ? 30 °C should be the subject of discussion between manufacturer and end user.

This Malaysian Standard is not applicable to hoses and hose assemblies for LPG systems, aviation fuel systems, fuel station systems or marine applications.

Status : Withdrawn
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies a method for the determination of the temperature-retraction characteristics of stretched vulcanized rubber.

This standard does not cover thermoplastic ....Read more rubbers, as many thermoplastic elastomers have a yield point in the range of 5 % to 20 % elongation.
