. experimental sets;
. functional toys (models that have a function similar to an appliance or installation used by adults);
. video toys (toys consisting of a screen and activating means, such as a joystick or keyboard. Separate
screens having a rated voltage exceeding 24 V are not considered to be a part of the toy).

Toys using electricity for secondary functions are within the scope of this standard.

NOTE 2: A doll's house having an interior lamp is an example of such a toy.

In order to comply with this standard, electric toys also have to comply with ISO 8124-1, since it covers hazards other than those arising by the use of electricity.

NOTE 3: Transformers for toys and battery chargers are not considered to be a toy, even if supplied with it.

Safety of power converters for use in photovoltaic power systems - Part 1: General requirements (IEC 62109-1:2010, IDT)
MS IEC 62109-1:2011 (CONFIRMED:2015)
Status : 1st Confirmation
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard applies to the power conversion equipment (PCE) for use in Photovoltaic (PV) systems where a uniform technical level with respect to safety is necessary. This standard defines ....Read more the minimum requirements for the design and manufacture of PCE for protection against electric shock, energy, fire, mechanical and other hazards.

This standard provides general requirements applicable to all types of PV PCE. There are additional parts of this standard that provide specific requirements for the different types of power converters, such as Part 2 - inverters. Additional parts may be published as new products and technologies are commercialised.

Balance-of-system components for photovoltaic systems - Design qualification natural environments (IEC 62093:2005, IDT)
MS IEC 62093:2012
Status : Original
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard establishes requirements for the design qualification of balance-of-system (BOS) components used in terrestrial photovoltaic (PV) systems. This standard is suitable for operati ....Read more on in indoor, conditioned or unconditioned; or outdoor in general open-air climates as defined in MS 1750:2004, protected or unprotected. It is written for dedicated solar components such as batteries, inverters, charge controllers, system diode packages, heat sinks, surge protectors, system junction boxes, maximum power point tracking devices and switch gear, but may be applicable to other BOS system components.

This standard is based on that which is specified in MS IEC 61215 and MS IEC 61646 for the design qualification of PV modules. However, changes have been made to account for the special features of the balance-of-system components, and to add different levels of severity for the different service environments.
