GUIDELINES FOR LIMITING EXPOSURE TO TIME-VARYING ELECTRIC, MAGNETIC AND ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS - PART 2: FOR FREQUENCY FROM 3 kHZ TO 300 GHZ
MS 2232-2:2010
Status : Original
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies limits of human exposure to radiofrequency (RF) fields in the frequency range from 3 kHz to 300 GHz. The standard is applicable wherever the general public may be exp ....Read more osed to radiofrequency (RF) fields and wherever employees may be exposed in the course of their work. The exposure involved may be in the form of partial body exposure or whole body exposure.
This standard is applicable to continuous wave (CW), pulsed and modulated EMF transmission at single or multiple frequencies within the range from 3 kHz to 300 GHz.

This standard does not apply to the following situations:

a) exposure to fields generated by static (0 Hz) sources;
b) deliberate exposure of patients undergoing medical treatment or diagnosis using EMF;
c) exposure of the EMF which may have resulted in other potential hazards, such as, ignition of explosives or flammable gases, malfunctioning of certain kinds of cardiac pacemakers or interference with some electronic equipment; and

Electromagnetic compatibility - Environment – Overvoltages on public electricity distribution networks
MS 2230:2009 (CONFIRMED:2016)
Status : Original
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies the electromagnetic environment with respect to the voltages in excess of normal that are found on electricity supply networks operating at low and medium nominal vol ....Read more tages and that can be impressed on equipment connected to those networks, without considering further effects (e.g. amplification or attenuation) within an installation. Since these overvoltages have the potential to hinder the functioning of electrical and electronic equipment, they fall within the definition of electromagnetic disturbance in the field of EMC. Various categories of overvoltage are described, based on relative magnitude, duration and energy content.
This standard describes the phenomena of overvoltages. It does not specify compatibility levels and does not directly specify emission and immunity levels.

The standard describes the various phenomena and processes that cause overvoltages, including the transfer into the networks concerned of overvoltages that originate in o
