GUIDELINES FOR LIMITING EXPOSURE TO TIME-VARYING ELECTRIC, MAGNETIC AND ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS - PART 2: FOR FREQUENCY FROM 3 kHZ TO 300 GHZ
This Malaysian Standard specifies limits of human exposure to radiofrequency (RF) fields in the frequency range from 3 kHz to 300 GHz. The standard is applicable wherever the general public may be exposed to radiofrequency (RF) fields and wherever employees may be exposed in the course of their work. The exposure involved may be in the form of partial body exposure or whole body exposure.  This standard is applicable to continuous wave (CW), pulsed and modulated EMF transmission at single or multiple frequencies within the range from 3 kHz to 300 GHz. This standard does not apply to the following situations: a) exposure to fields generated by static (0 Hz) sources; b) deliberate exposure of patients undergoing medical treatment or diagnosis using EMF; c) exposure of the EMF which may have resulted in other potential hazards, such as, ignition of explosives or flammable gases, malfunctioning of certain kinds of cardiac pacemakers or interference with some electronic equipment; and
