PAPER AND BOARD - DETERMINATION OF OPACITY (PAPER BACKING) - DIFFUSE REFLECTANCE METHOD (FIRST REVISION) (ISO 2471:2008, IDT)
MS ISO 2471:2010 (CONFIRMED:2023)
Status : 1st Confirmation

Guide for developing conceptual site models for contaminated sites
MS 2470:2012
Status : Original
Format : PDF

The objective of a conceptual site model (CSM) is to detail the nature and extent of contamination, the potential migration pathways and to identify potential receptors to the extent possible based on ....Read more information gathered from the desk study and site visit. A CSM is a system diagram identifying contaminant sources, routes of exposure (pathways), and what receptors are affected by contaminants moving along those pathways. Exposure pathways and receptors should be identified for both current and future uses of the site (where appropriate). The model will be based on a review of all available data gathered during the various investigation phases, and should be used to design the detailed site investigation taking into account identified data gaps and uncertainties. The values stated in International System of Units (SI) are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only. This guide is intended to apply to any contaminated site. Close

PAPER, BOARD AND PULPS - MEASUREMENT OF DIFFUSE BLUE REFLECTANCE FACTOR - PART 1: INDOOR DAYLIGHT CONDITIONS (ISO BRIGHTNESS) (FIRST REVISION) (ISO 2470-1:2009, IDT)
MS ISO 2470-1:2010
Status : 1st Revision
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies a method for measuring the diffuse blue reflectance factor (ISO brightness) of pulps, papers and boards. This standard is limited in its scope to white and near-white ....Read more pulps, papers and boards. The measurement can only be made in an instrument in which the ultraviolet energy level of the illumination has been adjusted to correspond to the CIE illuminant C using a fluorescent reference standard. NOTE The property called D65 brightness is measured with an instrument adjusted to a much higher UV content than that specified in this part of ISO 2470. The measurement of D65 brightness is described in ISO 2470-2. Close

PAPER, BOARD AND PULPS - MEASUREMENT OF DIFFUSE BLUE REFLECTANCE FACTOR - PART 2: OUTDOOR DAYLIGHT CONDITIONS (D65 BRIGHTNESS) (ISO 2470-2:2008, IDT)
MS ISO 2470-2:2009 (CONFIRMED:2023)
Status : 2nd Confirmation
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies a method for measuring the D65 brightness of pulps, papers and boards.

This part of standard is limited in its scope to white and near-white pulps, pa ....Read more pers and boards, particularly those exhibiting fluorescence which promotes the appearance of whiteness. The measurement can only be made in an instrument in which the ultraviolet energy level of the illumination has been adjusted to correspond to the CIE standard illuminant D65 using a fluorescent reference standard.

The source employed in this part of ISO 2470 excites almost twice as much fluorescence as the illuminant in ISO 2470-1. Consequently, this part of ISO 2470 is better suited for measuring the fluorescent contribution to the brightness. However, D65 brightness should not be confused with ISO brightness which closely approximates the brightness of papers viewed under indoor conditions.
NOTE The property called ISO brightness is measured with an instrument adjusted to a much lower UV content

This Malaysian Standard describes the general procedure for measuring the diffuse radiance factor of all types of pulp, paper and board. More particularly, it specifies in detail in Annex A the charac ....Read more teristics of the equipment to be used for such measurements, and in Annex B the procedures to be used for calibrating that equipment.

This Malaysian Standard may be used to measure the radiance factors and related properties of materials containing fluorescent whitening agents, provided that the UV radiation content in the illumination has been adjusted to the level specified in the specific International Standard describing the measurement of the property in question.

This Malaysian Standard describes in Annex C the preparation of fluorescent reference standards, although the procedures for using these standards are not included, since their use is described in detail in the specific International Standards describing the measurement of the properties of materials containing fluoresce
