Electric cable and wire: 600/1 000 (Um = 1 200) V multi core XLPE insulated cable - Non-armoured
This Malaysian Standard specifies the construction, dimension and test requirements of crosslinked
polyethylene (XLPE) insulated multi core cables, non-armoured for operation at rated voltage 600/1 000 (1 200) V.
The cables as prescribed are generally use for low voltage, fixed installation system for the distribution network. It is not intended for use in prolonged water logged conditions and for specialised applications (e.g. welding, crane lifting, mines, aerial), which are covered by other Malaysian Standards, where available.
