STRUCTURAL LAMINATED VENEER LUMBER (LVL) - PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM MANUFACTURING REQUIREMENTS
This Malaysian Standard specifies manufacturing (in-grade) structural characterisation and structural verification requirements for Structural Laminated Veneer Lumbers (SLVL) as a glued assembly of veneers and for which structural design is performed in accordance with MS 544: Part 12.
This standard specifies performance requirements and minimum requirements for Structural Laminated Veneer Lumber (SLVL). It does not describe requirements for non-structural applications.
This standard is only concerned with the LVL component of assemblies such as trusses, nail plate jointed beams and I-beams, but not the assemblies themselves.
