CODE OF PRACTICE FOR SAFETY IN WELDING AND CUTTING

This standard is for the protection of persons from injury and illness and the protection of property (including equipment) from damage by fire and other causes arising from welding and cutting.Specific provisions are included for gas welding, shielded metal-arc welding, submerged-rc welding.gas shielded arc welding,brazing and resistance welding.However,the requirements of this standard are generally applicable to the other welding processes.The provisions of this standard provide the basic safety requirements of all welding and cutting. These provisions shall be observed regard less of the nature of the field of application. No attempt has been made to include all particular hazards which maybe in herent when welding and cutting equipment is used in special industries.
