This Malaysian Standard describes the principles of organising and naming CAD layers. This standard covers the organisation and allocation of layers that are used in CAD layers for construction projects.
It is intended to be applied for communication, management and submission purposes. A list of standard CAD layers is provided in this standard.
The principles established in this standard are applicable to all parties involved in preparing and using technical documentations on CAD systems.
Although these principles are primarily for users, CAD systems developers are expected to offer software tools capable of implementing and supporting this standard.
