Foundations - Code of practice
This Malaysian Standard gives recommendations for the design and construction of foundations for the normal range of buildings and engineering structures.
Section 2 covers the general principles of design; Sections 3, 4, 5 and 7 are concerned with more detailed considerations of the design and installation of the main types of foundations. Sections 6, 8 and 9 relate to site operations and construction processes involved in foundation engineering and Section 10 describes the factors affecting the durability of the various materials used in foundation structures. Section 11 covers safety precautions. This standard does not cover foundations for special structures.
