The adoption of the ASTM Standard as a Malaysian Standard was recommended by the Technical Committee on Petroleum Fuels under the authority of the Industry Standards Committee on Petroleum and Gas.
This Malaysian Standard is the first revision of MS 1890, Test method for calculated cetane index of distillate fuels.
This Malaysian Standard is identical to ASTM D976-06, Standard test method for calculated cetane index of distillate fuels, published by the ASTM International with the exception as listed below.
