Vehicle security systems: Part 2: Locking systems: Section 1: Specification for locking systems
This Malaysian Standard specifies requirements for the performance of locking systems fitted to passenger compartment doors and luggage compartment or hatchbacks doors of passenger cars and car derived vehicles. It does not apply to engine compartment-locking systems.
The requirements for central power locking systems and dead locking systems are specified in MS 1742: Part 2: Section 2 and MS 1742: Part 2: Section 3 respectively.
