Accommodation premise - Classification - Criteria and requirement for hotels
This Malaysian Standard specifies general criteria and set of requirements for the standard of hotel classification using the 'star rating' system. This standard is intended to be used by relevant authoritative body as well as interested parties that are engaged in the hospitality industry to determine the star rating for hotels.
This standard does not cover the apartment hotels, orchid-rated hotels and boutique hotels.
