HOUSEHOLD INSECTICIDE PRODUCTS - EVALUATION METHOD FOR BIOLOGICAL EFFICACY - PART 2: PEET GRADY METHOD

This Malaysian Standard specifies a procedure for the evaluation of biological efficacy of household insecticide products using the Peet Grady method.

This method provides a satisfactory means of determining the relative efficacy of common household insecticide products, namely mosquito electric vapourising liquid, mosquito vapourising mat, mosquito coil and space spray aerosol against the MS Reference Product.

The method is suitable for testing the above insecticide products against mosquitoes and house flies.

NOTES:
1. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health measures, Good Laboratory Practice and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
2. As a biological test, it is subject to the variation that accompanies the reactions of living organisms. It should be employed under close supervision of personnel familiar with biological testing of insecticides.
