Plugs complying with this standard are suitable for use at ambient temperature not normally exceeding 25 °C, but occasionally reaching 35 °C.

This Standard is also applicable to plug portions of adaptors or equipment, such as razors or lamps with rechargeable batteries, plug-in transformers, etc. as far as the standard reasonably applies.
