WATER QUALITY - DETECTION AND ENUMERATION OF ESCHERICHIA COLI AND COLIFORM BACTERIA - PART 1: MEMBRANE FILTRATION METHOD (ISO 9308-1:2000, COR. 1:2007, IDT)
MS ISO 9308-1:2011
Status : Withdrawn
Format : PDF

This malaysian Standard describes a reference method (Standard Test) for the detection and enumeration of Escherichia coli and coliform bacteria in wate ....Read more r for human consumption. The method is based on membrane filtration, subsequent culture on a differential agar medium and calculation of the number of target organisms in the sample.

The Standard Test has a low selectivity, allowing the detection of injured bacteria. Due to the low selectivity, background growth can interfere with the reliable enumeration of coliform bacteria and E. coli, for example in some drinking waters, like shallow well waters, that have not been disinfected and yield a high background growth. This malaysian Standard is therefore especially suitable for disinfected water and other drinking waters of low bacterial numbers.

This malaysian Standard includes a rapid method (Rapid Test) for the detection of E. coli only within 24 h in water for human consumption, which can be useful in special cases when informatio

ERGONOMICS OF HUMAN-SYSTEM INTERACTION - PART 304: USER PERFORMANCE TEST METHODS FOR ELECTRONIC VISUAL DISPLAYS (ISO 9241-304:2008, IDT)
MS ISO 9241-304:2010 (CONFIRMED:2023)
Status : 1st Confirmation
Format : PDF

This malaysian Standard provides guidance for assessing the visual ergonomics of display technologies with user performance test methods (as opposed to ....Read more the optical test methods given in MS ISO 9241-305). Its use will help to ensure that, for a given context of use, a display meets minimum visual ergonomics requirements. It covers only visual attributes and does not address the ergonomics or usability of the whole product that houses a visual display.

The general principles laid down by this standard apply to any colour or monochrome visual display attached to a system with which human beings interact. This includes, but is not limited to, visual displays used with desktop and portable computers, those used on mobile devices such as mobile telephones, digital cameras and personal digital assistants, and status displays used on consumer electronics equipment such as printers, in-car navigation systems and microwave ovens.
