PRACTICE FOR DETERMINATION OF VOLATILES IN POLYMERS BY STATIC HEADSPACE GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY
MS 2069:2008
Status : Withdrawn
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies the headspace gas chromatography (GC) involves in the determination of volatile components in a polymer solution by gas chromatography of a vapor phase in thermal equ ....Read more ilibrium with the sample matrix. Volatiles in finely ground insoluble polymers can also be determined with and without an extracting solvent.
This practice provides two procedures:

Procedure A—Automatic headspace analysis.

Procedure B—Manual injection headspace analysis.

This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. Specific precautionary statements are given in Section 6.

NOTE 1—There is no equivalent ISO standard.

TEST METHOD FOR RESIDUES IN LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM (LP) GASES
MS 2068:2008
Status : Original
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard covers the determination of extraneous materials weathering above 38°C that are present in liquefied petroleum gases. The extraneous materials will generally be dissolved in t ....Read more he LPG, but may have phase-separated in some instances.
Liquefied petroleum gases that contain certain anti-icing additives can give erroneous results by this test method.

Although this test method has been used to verify cleanliness and lack of heavy contaminants in propane for many years, it might not be sensitive enough to protect some equipment from operational problems or increased maintenance. A more sensitive test, able to detect lower levels of dissolved contaminants, could be required for some applications.

This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior

TEST METHOD FOR VAPOR PRESSURE OF LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GASES (LPG) (EXPANSION METHOD)
MS 2067:2008
Status : Original
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies the use of automatic vapor pressure instruments to determine the vapor pressure of liquefied petroleum gas products at a temperature of 37.8C, vapor to liquid ratio o ....Read more f 0.5:1, and pressures from 200 to 1550 kPa on a sample volume of 3.33 mL.
This test method is applicable to the determination of vapor pressures of liquefied petroleum gas products at temperatures from 37.8 to 70°C, vapor to liquid ratios of 0.1:1 to 4:1, and pressures up to 3500 kPa; however, the precision of the test method (see Section 15) has only been determined for a vapor to liquid ratio of 0.5:1, at a temperature of 37.8°C, and a pressure range from 300 to 1500 kPa.

NOTE 1—This test method is not intended to determine the true vapor pressure of LPG samples, but rather determine and report the vapor pressure of LPG at the 37.8°C temperature and 0.5:1 vapor to liquid ratio as the Test Method D 1267 method.

NOTE 2—This test method is not a true vapor pressure method and will not

TEST METHOD FOR DENSITY OR RELATIVE DENSITY OF LIGHT HYDROCARBONS BY PRESSURE HYDROMETER
MS 2065:2008
Status : Original
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies the determination of the density or relative density of light hydrocarbons including liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) having Reid vapour pressures exceeding 101.325 kP ....Read more a (14.696 psi).
The prescribed apparatus should not be used for materials having vapor pressures higher than 1.4 MPa (200 psi) at the test temperature. This pressure limit is dictated by the type of equipment. Higher pressures may apply to other equipment designs.

The values in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values in parentheses are for information only. Both SI and customary units have been rounded so that they may not be exactly equivalent.

This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.

MS 2064:2008
Status : Withdrawal without replacement
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard covers the measurement of the dryness of propane-type products such as, but not limited to, commercial propane.
Note 1- This Malaysian Standard is not applicable to prop ....Read more ane-type products containing antifreeze agents.
