The standard sets out means of compliance and testing ....Read more specifications for prefabricated tanks and treatment process performance of the SSTS.

The SSTS covered by this standard is for the treatment of sewage by aeration and clarification, and those designed for sewage flow of 31 up to 149 population equivalents. The principles of this standard may be applied to alternative treatment technologies, where approved by the regulatory authority.

The SSTS in this standard is for use buried in the ground where no vehicle loads are applied to the systems and not installed in high water table area.

Two materials covered in this standard are fibreglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene. Other materials which comply with the requirements of this standard may also be used.

This standard applies to SSTS where all prefabricated components are off-sit
