Sugar and molasses - Specification and test methods
This Malaysian Standard specifies quality requirements and test methods for sugar and molasses. It is applicable to all types of sugar and molasses sold directly to final consumer and industrial use in foodstuff. It is not applicable to coloured sugar or rainbow sugar, gula melaka, gula kabong, gula nipah and honey. Whenever the word, sugar, appears in this standard, it refers to "white refined sugar, castor sugar, icing sugar, glucose syrup, brown sugar, dextrose anhydrous, dextrose monohydrate, powdered dextrose (icing dextrose), dried glucose syrup, lactose and fructose", unless otherwise specified.
