Minimum energy performance standards (MEPS) for television
This Malaysian Standard specifies the minimum energy performance standard (MEPS) requirements for television that can be connected to mains power and for consumer use.
The following types of television size up to or equal to 177.8 cm (70 inches);
a. Plasma
b. Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)
c. Light Emitting Diode (LED)
d. Cathode Ray Tube (CRT)
or any other display type with similar function.
The following products are excluded from this standard:
a) television sets powered solely from batteries; and
b) front or rear projection display devices.
This standard does not specify the safety requirements.
