SAFETY OF POWER TRANSFORMERS, POWER SUPPLY UNITS AND SIMILAR - PART 2-5: PARTICULAR REQUIREMENTS FOR SHAVER TRANSFORMERS AND SHAVER SUPPLY UNITS
This Malaysian Standard applies to shaver supply units, embodying one or more socket-outlets and a single phase air cooled isolating transformer, having a rated supply voltage not exceeding 250 V a.c., a rated output not less than 20 VA and not exceeding 50 VA, a rated output voltage not exceeding 250 V, and a rated frequency not exceeding 500 Hz.
This Malaysian Standard is also applicable to shaver transformers for embodiment into shaver supply
units.
NOTE 1 – Shaver supply units may be flush or surface mounted or incorporated in luminaires and other
equipment.
NOTE 2 – Shaver supply units may be used to supply shavers, tooth brushes and similar small power devices.
