ENCLOSED LOW-VOLTAGE POWER SWITCHGEAR AND CONTROLGEAR ASSEMBLIES - GUIDE FOR TESTING UNDER CONDITIONS OF ARCING DUE TO INTERNAL FAULT
This Malaysian Standard applies to enclosed PSC-ASSEMBLIES manufactured according to MS IEC 61439-1and *MS IEC 61439-2.
The purpose of this standard is to give method of testing of enclosed PSC-ASSEMBLIES under conditions of arcing in air due to an internal fault.
The purpose of this test is to assess the ability of the PSC-ASSEMBLIES to limit the risk of personal injury and damage of PSC-ASSEMBLIES resulting from an internal arcing fault. This test is applicable to PSC-ASSEMBLIES with rated short circuit capacity of 15 kA and above and/or for Form 4 PSC-ASSEMBLIES. Other ratings shall be made either at the discretion of the manufacturer, or subject to an agreement between manufacturer and user.
