This Malaysian Standard applies to formic acid, intended for use in the textile, paper and
leather industries, chemical-manufacturing industries, plastics manufacture, rubber industry,
electroplating and all other general industrial purposes. It is not intended for research,
qualitative and quantitative analysis and medicinal purposes.
