This Malaysian Standard specifies the requirements for commercial varieties of jackfruit, Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam. of the family Moraceae, to be supplied whole and fresh to the consumer. The fruit is also known locally as "nangka".
Jackfruit for industrial processing is excluded.
