This Malaysian Standard specifies requirements for the design, fabrication and performance of pedestrian door frame with a minimum Base Metal Thickness (BMT) of 1.0 mm, where all surfaces are steel and the edges are steel and mechanically fixed.
It covers both complete doorsets, and door frames and hinges that could be used for doorsets with non-metallic leaves.
This Malaysian Standard does not specify requirements for fire resistance or smoke control characteristics.
