METHODS OF TEST FOR PAINTS PART A4 : NOTES FOR GUIDANCE ON PAINT APPLICATION
The following notes are intended as a guide to the application of
paint for laboratory examination. Because laboratory examination is
carried out on small painted surfaces, the technique described does not
agree in all respects with that employed in the decorative trade or in
industry. The niain object of the laboratory technique is to ensure
that the film on the small panel is as uniform as possible. The notes are
not comprehensive and are intended as guides rather than hard, and
fast rules; operators should, however, practise the techniques of
application before painting panels for test purposes.
