The adoption of the ISO Standard as a Malaysian Standard was recommended by the
Technical Committee on General Methods of Test for Plastics under the authority of the
Industry Standards Committee on Plastics and Plastics Products.
This Malaysian Standard is the first revision of MS ISO 179-1, Plastics - Determination of
Charpy impact properties - Part 1: Non-instrumented impact test.
