The adoption of the ISO Standard as a Malaysian Standard was recommended by the
Technical Committee on Vehicle Powertrain and Fuels Systems under the authority of the
Industry Standards Committee on Road Vehicles.
This Malaysian Standard is identical with ISO 254:1998, Belt drives - Pulleys - Quality, finish
and balance, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
