The adoption of the ISO Standard as a Malaysian Standard was recommended by the
Technical Committee on General and Raw Materials for Plastics under the authority of the
Industry Standards Committee on Plastics and Plastics Products.
This Malaysian Standard is the first revision of MS 1013, Method of test for residual vinyl
chloride monomer (Gas chromatographic method).
This Malaysian Standard is identical with ISO 6401:2008, Plastics - Poly(vinyl chloride) -
Determination of residual vinyl chloride monomer - Gas-chromatographic method, published
by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
