This Malaysian Standard prescribes the requirements for the following dry-salted fin fish. Ikan kurau (Thread fin), (Polynemus indicus) Ikan talang (Leather skin) Queenfish, [Chorinemus lysan, Chorinemus to!] Ikan cermin/sagai/cupak/demudoklrambai/keropoh (Horse mackerel) [Caranx armatus (Armed trevally), Caranx malabaricus (Malabar trevally), Caranx speciosus (Golden trevally), Caranx sexfasciatus (Six banded trevally)]. Ikan gelama (Jewfish) [Otolithes ruber, Otolithes lateoides, Pseudosciaena aneus, Pseudosciaena goldman!, Pseudosciaena soldado, Pseudosciaena coibor, Johnius carutta]. Ikan merah (Red snapper) [Lutjanus malabaricus, Lutjanus sanguienus].
