This Malaysian Standard was developed by the Technical Committee on Fasteners and
Screw Threads under the authority of the Mechanical Engineering Industry Standards
Committee.
This Malaysian Standard is identical with ISO 898-7:1992, Mechanical properties of fasteners
– Part 7: Torsional test and minimum torques for bolts and screws with nominal diameters 1
mm to 10 mm. However, for the purposes of this Malaysian Standard, the following apply:
a)in the source text, “this International Standard” should read “this Malaysian Standard”;
and
b) the comma which is used as a decimal sign (if any), to read as a point.
