The adoption of the EN Standard as a Malaysian Standard was recommended by the
Technical Committee on Plastics Pipes and Fittings under the authority of the Industry
Standards Committee on Plastics and Plastics Products.
This Malaysian Standard is identical with EN 803:1994, Plastics piping systems - Injection moulded
thermoplastics fittings for elastic sealing ring type joints for pressure piping - Test
method for resistance to a short-term internal pressure without end thrust, published by the
European Committee for Standardization (CEN) with the exceptions as listed below.
MALAYSIAN STANDARD EXCEPTIONS
a) in the source text, "this European Standard" should read "this Malaysian Standard"; and
b) the comma which is used as a decimal sign (if any), to read as a point.
This standard is published with the permission of the European Committee for
