This Malaysian Standard is a total adoption of EN Standard and was prepared by the Working
Group on Revision of MS 30 under the authority of the Industry Standards Committee on
Building, Construction and Civil Engineering.
This Malaysian Standard is the second revision of MS 30: Part 7, Methods of testing
aggregates - Methods for determination of moisture content.
This Malaysian Standard is identical with EN 1097-5:2008, Tests for mechanical and physical
properties of aggregates - Part 5: Determination of the water content by drying in a ventilated
oven, published by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN). However, for the
purposes of this Malaysian Standard, the following apply:
a) in the source text, "this European Standard" should read "this Malaysian Standard";
b) the comma which is used as a decimal sign (if any), to read as a point; and
c) reference to EN Standards should be replaced by corresponding Malaysian Standards as
follows:
