a) provide information regarding the lightning characteristics in Malaysian environment;
b) provides statistical distribution of lightning surge voltages and currents measured on the subscriber end overhead lines and telephone office end underground lines; and
c) describe a method of tests and protection of subscriber equipment and telephone office switching equipment.
