PART A6 : DETERMINATION OF LOW TIME BY USE OF BS FLOW CUPS (FIRST REVISION)
This Part of the Malaysian Standard describes procedure for measuring the flow time of liquid products in particular paints, varnishes and lacquers. Five cups are specified, designated as BS B2, B3, B4, B5 and B6 in which the orifices differ in diameter and length. The preferred sizes are B2, B4 and B6, which cover most normal
requirements.
The break-point procedure as prescribed in this standard, involves timing the flow of the liquid through the orifice until the first break-point of the thread of liquid.
