The adoption of the ISO Standard as a Malaysian Standard was recommended by the Working Group on PVC Pipes and Fittings under the authority of the Industry Standards Committee on Plastics and Plastics Products.
This Malaysian Standard is identical with ISO 8985:1998, ISO 8985:1998, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
