HOUSEHOLD INSECTICIDE PRODUCTS - EVALUATION METHOD FOR BIOLOGICAL EFFICACY - PART 3: CYLINDER METHOD
This Malaysian Standard specifies a procedure for the evaluation of biological efficacy of household insecticide products using the cylinder method.
This method provides a satisfactory means of determining the relative efficacy of common household insecticide products, namely mosquito electric vapourising liquid, surface and direct spray aerosol and mosquito vapourising mat against the Malaysian Standard Reference Product (MS Reference Product).
The method is suitable for testing the above insecticide products against mosquitoes and cockroaches.

1. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health measures, Good Laboratory Practice and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
2. As a biological test, it is subject to the variation that accompanies the reactions of living organisms. It should be employed under close supervision of personnel familiar with biological testing of insecticides
