Plastics piping systems for water supply and for buried and above - ground drainage and sewerage under pressure - Unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC - U) - Part 7: Guidance for the assessment of conformity
This Malaysian Standard gives guidance for the assessment of conformity intended to be included in the manufacturer's quality plan as part of the quality system.
This standard includes:
a) Requirements for materials, components, joints and assemblies given in MS 628 series of standard.
b) Requirements for the manufacturer's quality system; and
c) Definitions and procedures to be applied if third party certification is involved.
It is applicable to joints and assemblies with components of PVC-U, other plastics and non-plastics materials intended to be used for the following:
a) water mains and services buried in ground;
b) conveyance of water above ground for both outside and inside buildings;
c) buried and above-ground drainage and sewerage under pressure;
It is applicable to piping systems intended for the supply of water under pressure up to and including 25 °C (cold water) intended for human consumption and for general purposes as well as for waste water under pressure
