MS 466:1987
METHODS OF SAMPLING AND TESTING FIELD LATEX (FIRST REVISION)
This Malaysian Standard are applicable only to samples of natural rubber field latex that are entirely fluid at the time when the samples are taken and at the time when tests are carried out. The latex must not have been submitted to any type of concentration process. Generally the methods described are suitable only for field latex preserved with any of the following preservatives: (a) ammonia (b) potassium hydroxide (c) sodiumsulphite (d) formaldehyde (e )boricacid(f)ZnO/TMTD or any suitable combinations of these preservatives. These tests are not necessarily suitable for latex from natural sources other than Hevea brasiliens is and are not intended for latices of synthetic rubber, compound latex, vulcanized latex or artificial dispersions of rubber.
