Edible cassava starch - Specification (Second revision)
This Malaysian Standard specifies requirements for quality, grading, hygiene and sanitation, halal compliance, labelling, test methods and sampling for edible cassava starch derived from the processing of the root of cassava, Manihot esculenta, intended for food applications. NOTE. Starch derived from another cassava species, Manihot utilisima, is not for edible purposes. It is an industrial grade for non-food application.
