Portable container for consumer use - Petrol, kerosene and diesel - Specification
This Malaysian Standard establishes nationally recognised performance requirements for portable petrol, kerosene and diesel containers intended for reuse by the consumer. Only color and marking are differentiated. The test medium specified for chemical resistance is kerosene due to more aggressive nature of kerosene on elastomers and other materials of construction.
This standard
- does not cover single-trip prepackaged containers,
- is not a fire risk assessment or a fire test standard, and
- does not apply to the transportation of dangerous goods as specified in MS 1513 series of standards.
