This Malaysian Standard applies to commercial varieties of red and white flesh pitahaya with red skins grown from the genus Hylocereus, of the Cactaceae family, to be supplied fresh to the consumer. The fruit is also known as ‘dragon fruit’, ‘buah naga’ and ‘pitaya’.
