MARINE FENDERS - SPECIFICATION FOR RUBBER MATERIALS AND TESTING (FIRST REVISION)
This Malaysian Standard specifies requirements for vulcanized rubber used in marine fenders for ports.
Rubber fenders are used for interface between a vessel and the berth facility to absorb a certain portion of the kinetic energy of a vessel without damage to the vessel and the waterfront structure.
Some general requirements for the finished fenders are also given. Any other requirements for the performance of the finished fenders, particularly functional test should be the subject of agreement between the interested parties.
