METHODS OF TEST FOR HORMONE WEEDKILLERS OF THE PHENOXYACETIC ACID (2,4-D)
This Malaysian Standard prescribes the methods of analysis for hormone weedkillers of the phenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D). For the ease of reference, it contains the following:
a) The methods for determining:
i) identity test;
ii) 2,4-D content;
iii) free phenols;
iv) solubility in triethanolamine;
v) sulphated ash;
vi) water content;
vii) rate of solution;
viii) material insoluble in waterix) free acidity;
x) suspended solid;
xi) material insoluble in oil;
xii) emulsion stability and re-emulsification;
xiii) flash point;
xiv) volatility;
xv) stability at 54 °C; and
xvi) stability on dilution.
