This Malaysian Standard provides requirements for deployment of NGN which includes the followings:
a) the need for a special numbering block for NGN services to enable interconnect settlements;
b) features and functionality requirements, QoS and support for existing/legacy services;
c) network service management, interception and security, emergency services and privacy implications;
d) recommendation for implementation to be supported by NGN;
e) service interworking across networks for end-to-end services;
f) network/service architecture and protocol options and arrangements;
g) interconnection options and arrangements within NGN and with existing networks (PSTN/PLMN/internet); and
h) network service management, interception and security, emergency services and privacy implications.
