Classification
This document specifies the criteria for the assessment and scoring of industrial parks using the star rating system. This document is intended to be used as the basis to determine the star rating for industrial parks by relevant authoritative bodies as well as other interested parties.
This document can also be used by industrial park managers and/or developers of industrial parks in Malaysia as a self-assessment tool. By understanding the industrial park’s present capabilities, industrial park managers and developers can prepare relevant and feasible strategies and plans for their improvement, thus providing a benchmark for excellence in industrial development while ensuring responsible stewardship of resources and environmental protection.
The star rating can be used by stakeholders (e.g. government agencies, investors) as a guide for their decision-making.
