Corrosion-resistant flat products

This Malaysian Standard specifies the technical delivery conditions for hot- or cold-rolled
sheet/plate and strip for general purposes made of the most important corrosion-resistant
stainless steel grades.
NOTES:
1. In the text, under the term “general purposes”, purposes other than the special purposes
mentioned in the bibliographic references [3] to [6] are understood.
2. Heat-resistant steel grades can be found in ISO 4955 and they can be used for corrosion-resistant
purposes.
In addition to this part of the standard, the general technical delivery requirements of MS
1846 are applicable.
This part of standard does not apply to components manufactured by further processing
of the product forms listed in the first paragraph where quality characteristics are altered as
a result of such processing.
